In most Arabian cities, Eid Mubarak is marked by Muslim faithfuls taking turn to stab a chained animal.
The animal may be a camel, cow or ram. They watch the animal with joy as it slowly bleeds to death. While the general audience shout “Allah Akbar”
Reportngr.com gathered that this practice has been part of the culture of those indulge in it.
One of the audience,Hussein, told our reporter that the practice has been as old as the celebration. “I grew into this practice. It was there before our fathers and forefathers. I cannot state the origin. Therefore, we cannot stop it” he said.
While many Muslims condemn the practice saying it is not rooted in Islamic religion, others uphold it as part of the belief of those that practice it.
