The president stated that even before his appointment as Ambassador, the late Wase was outstandingly involved in community peace activism.
President Buhari prayed to Allah to forgive the sins of the late Ambassador and grant his family the fortitude to bear the loss.

President Buhari while extending his condolence to the family, government and people of Plateau State in a statement signed by Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to the president (Media and Publicity),praised the late Wase in his roles in Conflict Resolution in Plateau State.
