A son of an Osun State Iman, Ibraheem Olaiya has been killed.
He was allegedly lynched by suspected Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) members who had reportedly put him under surveillance.
Reportngr.com learnt that the late Ibraheem was the son of the Amir of Zumuratu Mumini in Ede.
Ibraheem had earlier been accused of stealing iron rods.
It was gathered that Ibraheem allegedly gave up the ghost while he was being rushed to the State Hospital in Ede.
Reacting to the incident, the Head, Directorate of Public Affairs, Redeemers University, Ede, Mr. Adetunji Adeleye confirmed the incident.
However, Adetunji denied any link between the University and OPC members.
Adetunji Adeleye maintained that the institution had no link with the death of Ibraheem.
Furthermore, he added that Redeemers University operated a non- violence policy.
Nevertheless, he maintained that the university hands criminal issues to legal bodies.
