A Nigerian man who returned from South Africa has recalled his ordeal in the ongoing xenophobic attack in South Africa.
The man simply identified as Jude Anthony stated that people were killed in the presence of police without police stopping them. Police in South Africa encourage and take part in the xenophobic attack.
However, Anthony said that he has lived in South Africa for seven years.
Anthony accused the authorities of doing nothing while South Africa attacked and killed foreigners.
Hear him:
“The experience has been terrible. I have been in South Africa for seven years.
Xenophobia is a policy driven right from the era of President Jacob Zuma.
Or even the regime preceding Zuma and it is driven by the South African police.
Regrettably, in the presence of the police, people are being slaughtered like chicken.
And there is no outrage from the west. The west is not condemning this xenophobic attack. America is not condemning it because they see it as black on black violence. Which is very wrong. Xenophobic attack is wrong. Violence is wrong, criminality is wrong.” Jude Anthony concluded.
