A widow whose house got burnt has gotten a promise of new house from an Akwa Ibom state philantropist.
On the 10th of August, 2020, fire burnt down the house of Mrs. Bessie Asuquo Benjamin, a widow.
Mrs Benjamin is a widow from Atan Offot Village, Uyo Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.
She is over 80 years of age. The house which have tenants living in some parts of it is the only source of income to the old widow.
However, the fire which started at about 8pm lasted till about 10 pm on the faithful day.

Moreover, Mr. Enobong Hammer Uwah, the Leading and Pioneer Public Affairs Ambassador in Akwa Ibom state has stepped in to rescue the widow.
Mr. Uwah visited the widow and assessed the level of damage on the building.
Our source stated that Mr. Enobong Uwah was in the company of his younger brother, Mr Ime uwah during the visit.
The philantropist had instructed that reconstruction work should commence on the site immediately. Meanwhile, the reconstruction is to be done under the supervision of his brother, Mr Ime Uwah to avoid any form of disappointment.
Nevertheless, Mr. Uwah also gave financial assistance to the woman to cushion the effect of the incidence. And to enable her acquire some of her immediate needs like clothes, food and drugs.
In no time, the widow will return to her house, this time, new and neat and as it is, will receive the constant touch of love from the Uwahs according to a source.
