After Putin authorizes “special military operation” in Donbass region on Monday, the world woke up with a surprise on Thursday when Russia attacks major cities in Ukraine.
However, upon the attack and amid sanctions from countries like UK, Putin is threatening to attack any country that interferes in the Ukrainian invasion.
According to report, Russian president, Vladimir Putin on Thursday authorized “a special military operation” in response to the appeal of the leaders of the “republics” in the Donbass region.
Putin on Monday signed two decrees recognizing “the Lugansk People’s Republic” and “the Donetsk People’s Republic” as independent and sovereign states.
“Our plans do not include the occupation of Ukrainian territories. We are not going to impose anything on anyone by force,” he said.
Putin called on “all people living on the territory of today’s Ukraine” to “independently determine the future of their own and children.”
Russia will not allow Ukraine to have nuclear weapons, he said.
Putin added that Russia attacks are not connected with infringing upon Ukraine’s interests but with protecting itself from “those who take Ukraine hostage.”
Vladimir Putin also stated that “In case of external interference in the situation in Ukraine, Russia will respond immediately”.
Meanwhile, Russia has attacked several Ukrainian cities.
This has resulted in the death of more than 50 soldiers and hundreds of civilians. Unconfirmed number if soldiers and citizens including minors are wounded.
Russia says it targets Ukrainian Airbase, Air Defence and military bases.
According to Aljazeera.com, Ukraine has gunned down six Russian planes as at Thursday morning.
However, Putin said Russia is ready to attack any country that interferes in it’s invasion of Ukraine. Especially USA.
Nevertheless, Russia has launched several missiles in these cities; Kiev, Kharkiv, Odessa, Mariupol and Kramatorsk as at mid morning of Thursday.
According to The New York Times, the Ukrainian military is badly outgunned by the larger and more technologically advanced Russian forces that have launched an invasion upon the weapons, ammunition and equipment delivered to Ukraine by the Western allies.
