The Nigerian president, Mohammadu Buhari has cautioned people who said he is not doing anything on the ongoing menace of Fulani herdsmen going on in the country.
Fulani herdsmen have been carrying out incessant attacks and of killings of citizens for a long time now.
President Mohammadu Buhari said it is dishonest and unfair to insinuate he is doing nothing about herdsmen killings in Nigeria.
However, the president Mohammadu Buhari this after his meeting with members of the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN). Buhari wrote on his Twitter that he is working to protect the lives and properties of Nigerians.
The idea that he is sitting around doing nothing could not be further from the truth, he said.
The president’s speech:
“It is quite frankly dishonest and unfair to insinuate that I am sitting doing nothing. While these herdsmen killings are going on. Nothing could be further from the truth. I have and will continue to act in line with my responsibility as President. To ensure security of lives and property”.
Therefore, It is dishonest and unfair to insinuate I am doing nothing – President Buhari.
