Not fewer than two persons have been confirmed dead due to a collapsed building last night. The building collapsed following an explosion which destroyed a structure along Moore road in Ile Ife, Osun state.
Although the cause of the explosion is yet unknown, an investigation is on to confirm the actual circumstance surrounding the incident.
However, a man whose identity could not be ascertained as at that moment was critically injured. He sustained serious injury at the back. The man was subsequently rushed to the Obafemi Awolowo Teaching Hospital Complex (OAUTHC), Ile-Ife. Nevertheless, he later died in the early hours of today Sunday, April 8th.
The explosion however, brought down the building and also damaged adjoining structures in the area. Residents were seen wailing and pointing accusing fingers on terrorists.

In a related incident, at least four people died after sections of an apartment collapsed. The building collapsed after an apparent gas explosion in Russia.
Authorities say that four others are in hospital with injuries. Above all, 68 other residents are not mentioned in the accident in Magnitogorsk. A town with 400,000 inhabitants, about 870 miles southeast of Moscow.
Some residents could have been buried under the rubble after the accident.
The collapse of a part of the 10-story building was apparently caused by a gas leak said the investigation committee. It happened before sunrise when most of the residents were still asleep.
