University of Helsinki Finland was founded in the year 1829,. It is one of the oldest public research universities in Finland. The university offers annual international scholarship.

University of Helsinki is one of the well-known international universities for its high-quality education, research, and innovation.

University of Helsinki offers annual scholarships to outstanding students coming from countries outside the EU/EEA area and Switzerland. Who wish to pursue a Master’s program at the University.

VALUE AND BENEFITS OF THE SCHOLARSHIP

1.Fully Funded Sch;u;olarship (Tuition fee + 10 000 EUR).

2.Full Tuition fee scholarship.

3.Tuition fees vary from 13 000 to 18 000 euros.

DURATION: Scholarship lasts for two years.

Students must be enrolled in a full-time study program and earn at least 55 ECTS per year to meet the requirements of the scholarship.

The international scholarship is granted for the first year. After that, the students’ progress will be checked, and based on that, the students will continue receiving the scholarship.

Student Union (HYY) membership fee including:

  1. Free or highly affordable health care services provided by the Finnish Student Health.
  2. Service (FSHS).
  3. Student’s meal reductions in Unicafe restaurants.
  4. Discounts on public transport.
  5. Unisport services at low prices.

The University of Helsinki gives the scholarship recipients the opportunity to join the University of Helsinki Student Ambassador Programme.

Eligibility criteria:

All applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for this scholarship:

• Applicants must apply for a Master’s program at the University of Helsinki, and they have to meet its eligibility requirements.
• Applicants must be liable for international tuition fees: Citizens of countries outside the EU/EEA, who don’t have permanent residence status in the EU/EEA area are required to pay tuition fees. Applicants can check the FAQ at the Studyinfo website to see whether or not they are liable for tuition fees.
• Applicants must meet the eligibility requirements for obtaining an entry visa and residence permit for Finland.
• Applicants must have obtained excellent results in their previous studies and be able to prove this in their application.

How to apply for a scholarship:

Applicants must first find the Master’s program they wish to apply for through the Degree Finder portal.

After that, they must check the instruction on how to apply to the master’s program and prepare the necessary documents.

Students can apply for a scholarship through the same application form they used to apply for the Master’s program and will have to submit all the required documents.
