A group of gunmen suspected to be bandits have attacked a mosque in Zamfara state during the congregational Jummah prayer.

The incident happened at a checkpoint in Iragbiji, Boripe Local Government Area of Osun State on August 3. The deceased was returning to his base in Owena, Ondo State, after celebrating Eid-el-Kabir, with his widowed mother.

Police spokesman Onome Onowakpoyeya who confirmed the arrest said the boys were in possession of the coffin for alleged ritual purposes.
